FAQ and Terms & Conditions

For Blue Sky Flowers CSA Flower Subscriptions

Following are frequently asked questions about our CSA flower subscriptions.  Also included are our terms and conditions for the subscriptions.

What is a CSA flower subscription?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you participate in a CSA, you are helping the growers as well as yourself. Pricing is usually much better than stores and you directly help the grower with their farm.

A flower CSA  works the same as a vegetable CSA. Community members typically join in the winter/early spring before the growing season begins. Your payment and commitment to the farm helps us to purchase seed and other supplies needed for the season. By purchasing a subscription from us, you are supporting a local and family-owned business. Subscriptions help us provide something special and important to our community.

Can I specify which flowers I want in my weekly bouquets?

As we are a small flower farm we have very specific flowers blooming each week. We cannot accommodate custom orders or requests at this time. Your bouquet will be filled with seasonal flowers so you get a taste of what is growing right now.

Can I buy a CSA Membership for someone else as a gift?

Most definitely! It’s a wonderful gift! What better gift could there be, to brighten someone’s week with fresh flowers.  Please ensure that you include the recipient's name, email, and phone number when placing your order.

Do you deliver?

Because we are a small farm with limited resources to deliver, all of our subscriptions are pick-up only.  We offer three convenient locations and times for pick up.  You can choose which location works best for you when you order.  Our friends at each location are being gracious in opening their place of business to us.  Please respect their business hours and be prompt in picking up your flowers on the  day of pickup.  Otherwise, you bouquet may be donated at the discretion of the hosting business owners.

  • Doppio Bunny Coffee, 550 East Main Street, Purcellville, VA, from noon to 5 pm

  • Middleburg Antique Gallery,  107 W. Washington St. Middleburg, VA, from 2 to 5 pm

  • Blue Sky Flowers, 37370 Allder School Road, Purcellville, VA, from 3 pm to 6 pm

Can I cancel my CSA Membership and get a refund?

Our CSA Subscriptions are the life blood of our farm. We rely on this revenue to keep the farm running (to deal with unpredictable weather, pests, etc.) and growth for the future. But we do understand that life happens. Refunds for the 2024 season are available up to one week after purchasing your CSA Subscription. We do ask that instead of cancelling, you consider gifting or selling your membership to a friend who would love getting fresh flowers weekly.

What if I go on vacation?

If you are going on holiday, as many do during the summer months, we ask that you arrange for someone else to receive your blooms while you're away. Perhaps a pet sitter or family friend would enjoy your bouquet that week. Just let them know of the pick-up dates, locations and times.  If you or someone in your family is unable to pick up your flowers, we will be happy to donate them to a local retirement home.

Can I transfer my flower subscription?

Yes, simply notify us via e-mail, page@blueskyflowers.net, so we can update our system with the new subscrib name and information.

Do you also sell vegetables and herbs?

During the growing season, we will post what vegetables are available with pricing on our Instagram account  @blueskyflowersva.
